Box of the Month: Modular and Sustainable Rigid Box for The Vine

Sustainable packaging is easy on the eyes and the environment in this box for The Vine.

The Vine is the creative brainchild of Bryce Vann Brock and Kelly Revels, two designers based in Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Their blossoming trifecta of services includes Landscape Design, Event Planning, and a Garden Market with online retail. The Vine needed packaging as beautiful and harmonious as their brand to hold their retail products. That’s where we came in.

This Base and Lid with a Neck Tray is a simple, elegant gift package. The rigid box was designed for a variety of succulent plants sold in-store and online. The structure was modified to accommodate succulents of various heights. Clever design and an ecological mission meet to make an exceptional box.

Here are some key features.

An Extra Purpose…

The undecorated Base with Neck Tray can be used as a tabletop container for the plant. And if that’s not your style, all succulents from The Vine come in a clear planter, so customers can simply remove the lid and use the packaging as a decorative accessory.

A Sustainable Mission…

In keeping with the green ethos of The Vine, this package is 100% recyclable! Furthermore, it’s made with FSC certified paperboard and paper, so you know this box is as sustainable as it gets. Luxury packaging is often environmentally sustainable when the right material choices are made. In this case, The Vine chose an embossed paper from the Rainbow70 line from Ecological Fibers.

A Secret Multi-tasker….

Finally, the Neck Tray can be removed from the Base and combined with the Lid to form an entirely separate box. Modular designs like this can help small businesses amortize the upfront costs of premium packaging across their range of product offerings.
